It is very easy to set up and use straight from the package. Just insert 2 batteries into the microphone and 2 into the receiver and you are done.
Plug it in to MIC 1 and you are ready to use it for your event. It will reach approximately 60 to 80 feet depending upon your area and strength of the batteries.
